Staying at Mas Fontanelles in rural Greece was a mixed bag for me. While I loved the tranquil environment and the well-maintained gardens, my experience was somewhat overshadowed. The hotel boasts a lovely outdoor pool area, perfect for decompressing after a day of hiking. The pool facilities could use a bit more attention to detail. Isabel, the owner, was welcoming, yet the overall hospitality felt a tad inconsistent-especially when we were charged 42€ for a late-night snack, which didn't quite live up to expectations. The private courtyard attached to my room provided a nice touch, ideal for sipping morning coffee, though I was disappointed by the breakfast served; it left much to be desired. On the bright side, the spa services offered soothing massages that helped me unwind, making the serene location worthwhile. Without sugar-coating it, while I enjoyed certain aspects, I walked away with mixed feelings. Definitely consider it if you're after tranquility, but perhaps check reviews for other guests' experiences first. Greece's beauty persists, but hotel stays can vary greatly.
